About me....
Parents often tell me that what sets my teaching apart is the balance between high expectations and genuine care. I take time to understand how a student learns best, then adapt my teaching style to unlock their potential. For some, that means breaking down tricky concepts step-by-step; for others, it means offering stretch and challenge to push them further.
Proven expertise
As a senior leader, I have shaped whole-school strategies, guided teachers at every stage of their careers, and overseen curriculum development to ensure every child has the best possible pathway. This experience allows me to bring not only subject knowledge to my tuition, but also a deep understanding of how learning fits into the bigger educational picture.
Extensive experience in education
With nearly 30 years of teaching and leadership experience across prep, primary and senior schools in London and Surrey, I have dedicated my career to helping young people thrive academically and personally. I have worked in both the state and independent sectors (boarding and day schools), gaining a breadth of insight into what truly supports student progress and builds lasting confidence.
Building confidence beyond exams
My approach is calm, structured and supportive. I believe every child is capable of success when they are given the right tools and encouragement. Whether it is boosting subject knowledge, stretching high achievers, or building confidence in those who find school daunting, I tailor my sessions to each learner’s needs.
My ultimate aim is not only to help children secure strong results, but also to give them the confidence and independence that will serve them well beyond exams.
A little about me
I am married with two teenage daughters and a much-loved black Labrador called JoJo. A keen walker and photography enthusiast, I also enjoy travelling, watching rugby, cooking, and reading historical novels.
